URT Advanced Application Shell Racing Fuel URT Advanced is a high-octane unleaded racing fuel specially formulated by Shell for off-road use. Shell URT Advanced is the highest octane (research + motor octane/2) unleaded racing fuel available on the market today*. Shell URT Advanced Racing Fuel is specially formulated by Shell and is designed to perform in applications normally requiring the use of lead. It contains a raceproven lead replacement additive that protects against exhaust valve seat recession in racing engines. This fuel contains no oxygen and is formulated using technology that provides detonation resistance previously only possible using lead. This unique technology is developed for engines requiring high octane racing fuel. Comments for Use The fuel should be stored in closed and preferably full fuel containers under dry and cool conditions to maintain maximum performance potential. Metal on Metal Wear Test Chart This chart shows that the Shell URT Advanced prevents wear from occurring due to metal on metal contact better than the other leaded fuels tested as determined using a High Frequency Reciprocating Rig (HFRR). Technology specifically designed to prevent engine wear makes these results possible. This technology is race proven and currently used in other Shell Racing Fuels around the world.
